Mu Online GM Commands & Player Commands

82 chat commands with usage and examples

Every chat command from the default Season 21 server files, split into what players can type and what only Game Masters can use — with the exact arguments, the default Zen prices and level limits, and a worked /item example. Private servers can rename or switch off any command, so a server's own list always wins.

Player commands

These work for every player. Type them in the chat box and press Enter. Most servers keep the default names below; a few rename them or add their own, so if a command answers with nothing, check the server's website or Discord.

Stats

CommandUsageWhat it does
/addstr/addstr <points>Adds free level-up points to Strength in one go.
/addagi/addagi <points>Adds points to Agility.

Off by default; when a server enables it, the default price is 1,000 Zen.

Character

CommandUsageWhat it does
/reset/resetResets your character to level 1 on reset servers. Requirements, price and rewards are set by the server — the default files ask for level 400 and 5,000,000 Zen, with at most 10 resets a day.
/pkclear/pkclearClears your PK (player-killer) status, usually for Zen. Price and limits are set by the server.
/charinfo/charinfoShows your account, character name, level, class code, swear-warning level, map and whether your married partner is online.

/unlock/unlock <code>Removes the lock — use the same code you gave to /lock.
/requests/requests on | offAccept or automatically refuse all duel and trade requests.
/hideicon/hideiconHides the rank icons some servers show above characters.
/clearbag/clearbagDeletes every item in your inventory (equipped items, Zen and Ruud stay). There is no undo.

GM commands

Commands marked GM only work on a Game Master or administrator character. The server checks the character's CtlCode in the database — /item and /spawn need the administrator code 32 — plus the GM rights given in the server's management tool. On a normal player character they do nothing.

Create items: /item

/item <item_group> <item_index> <item_level> <durability> <skill> <luck> <option> <exc> <setitem> <periodtime> <socketslot> <socketbonus/attribute> <muunevolutionitemcat> <muunevolutionitemindex> For Category and Index on an item refer to ItemList.xml Level: Level on an item, 0-15 Durability: If set to 0 the system will calculate default durability of an item. In case of overlap item specifies overlap value Skill: Defines whether item comes with skill or not, 0/1 Luck: Defines whether item comes with Luck option or not, 0/1 Opt: 0-7

ArgumentMeaning
group, indexItem category and number from the server's ItemList — the same numbers our item database uses in every drop link (for example -c0-i19).
level0 to 15 — the + level.
durability0 lets the server work it out. For stackable items it is the stack size.
skill1 adds the weapon skill, 0 leaves it off.
luck1 adds Luck (+5% critical chance, +25% jewel success).
option0 to 7; the item gets option × 4, so 7 gives +28.
exc-1 no excellent options, -2 a random set, -3;N N random options, or up to nine option IDs separated by ;. On 4th/5th wings, Guardian, Artifact and Ability Card items the same slot sets their own option types.
setitem0 for none; 5, 6, 9, 10, 20, 24, 36 or 40 make an ancient (set) item with +5 or +10 Stamina for the item's set tier.
periodtimeSeconds until the item expires, 0 for permanent.
socketslot, socketbonusEmpty socket slots, and the socket bonus — or on a pentagram the element: 1 Fire, 2 Water, 3 Earth, 4 Wind, 5 Darkness.

Example: /item 0 19 15 0 1 1 7 -1 0 0 0 0 creates a +15 Divine Sword of Archangel (group 0, index 19) with skill, Luck and +28, no excellent options. Swap -1 for -2 to roll random excellent options.

Monsters and gifts

CommandUsageWhat it does
/itemGM/item <group> <index> <level> ...Creates an item on the ground in front of you (see above).
/spawnGM/spawn <monster> <map> <range> <x> <y> <regen> <seconds>Spawns a monster. Map -1 means the current map; with no X/Y it appears two steps from you. Regen 1 makes it respawn after the given seconds.
/addgift/addgift <player> <1|2> <group> <index> <level> ... <days>Puts an item in a player's Gremory Case — storage 1 is the server case, 2 the character case — with the same options as /item plus days until it expires. The default file does not mark it GM-only, so server owners should restrict it.
/skinGM/skin <monster>Transforms the GM into a monster's look.

FAQ

How do I add stats with a command in Mu Online?

Use /addstr, /addagi, /addvit, /addene or /addcmd followed by the number of points, for example /addstr 500. Some servers also offer /autostat, which spends points for you after every level-up or reset.

How do I reset my character in Mu Online?

Type /reset once you reach the server's reset level. The default server files ask for level 400 and 5,000,000 Zen, but every server sets its own level, price and rewards.

How do I use GM commands in Mu Online?

GM commands only work on a character the server has marked as Game Master or administrator in its database. Players cannot use them; on a private server only the owner and staff can.

What is the /item command format?

/item group index level durability skill luck option exc setitem periodtime socketslot socketbonus - for example /item 0 19 15 0 1 1 7 -1 0 0 0 0 makes a +15 Divine Sword of Archangel with skill, luck and +28.

Why does a command not work on my server?

Every command name can be renamed or switched off in the server's Commands.ini, and some need a plug-in, a VIP level or Zen. Check the server's own command list if a default one does nothing.

Most used
  • /reset — reset your character
  • /addstr 100 — add stat points (also agi, vit, ene, cmd)
  • /post hello — message the whole server
  • /offtrade — keep your shop open offline
  • /item 0 19 15 0 1 1 7 -1 0 0 0 0 — GM: create a +15 item
