The smallest weapon family in the game, axes serve early melee leveling before knights move on to swords. On low-rate servers a decent axe carries a fresh Dark Knight through the first hunting grounds.

All nine axes are classic weapons from the original game, the Magic Gladiator can use every one, and the Dark Knight all except Elven Axe. Small Axe, Hand Axe, Double Axe, Tomahawk and Elven Axe are one-handed, so a knight can dual-wield them or carry a shield; Battle Axe, Nikea Axe, Larkan Axe and Crescent Axe are two-handed and hit harder.
| Item | Drop lv | Hands | Str | Agi | Skill |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Small Axe | 1 | 1H | 21 | — | — |
| Hand Axe | 4 | 1H | 47 | — | — |
| Double Axe | 14 | 1H | 82 | — | Falling Slash |
| Tomahawk | 18 | 1H | 101 | — | Falling Slash |
| Elven Axe | 26 | 1H | 72 | 93 | — |
| Battle Axe | 30 | 2H | 160 | — | Falling Slash |
| Nikea Axe | 34 | 2H | 187 | — | Falling Slash |
| Larkan Axe | 46 | 2H | 251 | — | Falling Slash |
| Crescent Axe | 54 | 2H | 209 | 95 | Falling Slash |
Elven Axe is the odd one out: it asks for 93 Agility next to 72 Strength, which suits an Agility Elf or a hybrid build. Crescent Axe tops the family at 69~89 damage but needs 209 Strength and 95 Agility. Every axe from Double Axe upward carries Falling Slash; Small, Hand and Elven Axe have no skill. Drop levels run from 1 to 54, so all axes come from starter and mid-level monsters - open any item above to see exactly which ones.
